He was predeceased by: his wife Sara Suzanne Phelps; his parents, Charles Spurgeon Phelps and Winnie B. Phelps; and his siblings, Louise, Earnest, Donnie Ray, Jack and Joanne.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Phelps Farmer (Marty) and Georgia K. Phelps; his grandchildren, Randi Farmer and Christopher Farmer; his great grandchildren, Madison Thompson and Hardee Farmer; and his jack russell terrier Mable. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
