James Thomas Messick Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Thomas Messick of Montgomery, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tom and Ella Mae Kelley Messick; the mother of his children Frances Juanita Cox Messick; his wife Dorothy Plott Messick; his son Pat Messick; and his siblings, Eloise Pryor (Calvin), Loette Lee (late Maurice), Josie Terry (late Earl) and John William Messick (Genye).
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheri Todd (John) of Auburn and Angie Newman (Roy) of Skipperville, Alabama; his grandchildren, Adrienne Craig (Corey) of Jackson Gap and Payne Newman (Autumn) of Auburn, Alabama; his great grandchildren, Peyton and Piper Craig; and his sisters, Sue McLendon Montgomery (Gus) of Alabama and Faye McFarland Norcross (late Alton).
