She was predeceased by: her husband James Earl Boyd; and her parents, Sadie Drye Rogers and James Leroy Rogers. She is survived by: her children, J. Ronald Boyd (Floranne), Thomas R. Boyd (Rita) and Tracey Boyd Silverman (Len); her grandsons, Greg and Ben; her sons, Stephen E. Boyd (Brecke) and T. Lee Patton (Laura); her grandchild Thomas; her daughter Martha Boyd Wanstrath (Murrey); her grandchildren, Boyd and Laura; her daughter Ann Boyd Bethea (Pat); her grandchildren, Tallie and Braiden; her son David R. Boyd, Jr. (Ashley); her grandchildren, Mosley and Camden; and her son James Joseph Boyd (Laura Beth). She is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, but also eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (112 Adams St, Greenville, AL 36037). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. She came of age during the Great Depression and World War II, and went on to witness the Cold War, the civil rights movement, men walking on the moon, the arrival of the computer age, and, in her final years, a worldwide pandemic.
