He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baldwin, Sr. and Lizzie Franklin Baldwin; his son Maurice Baldwin; and his siblings, Pearlie, Elijah, Willie Baldwin, Eddie King, Ronnie Thadd and Mary Baldwin of Washington.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian Baldwin; his children, Kenneth (Mirian), Juan Baldwin, Dakar Leonard and Denise Williams; his brother Donnie Thadd; the mother of his children Virginia Baldwin; and his great grandchildren, Richard, LaToya and Alexandria McClain. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
