He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Burgans and Louvert Edwards; and his son Travis Lee Burgans. He is survived by: his children, John Cleveland Burgans, Mary Ruth Burgans Hinton, Christine Patricia Burgans Flowers, Tommie Jean Cook Black of Athens, Francine Eugene Cook Moats, Georgia Etta Cook Swinning of Ramer and Robert Kyle Taylor. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren.
