It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Carroll Lauer Jr. (Montgomery, Alabama), who passed away on May 13, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carroll Lauer, Sr. and Estelle Lauer of Baltimore, MD.; and his granddaughter Makenzie Rae Martin of Montgomery, AL.. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Martin (Andy) of Montgomery, AL and Kevin Lauer (Linda) of Chesapeake, VA; his sister Patricia Lahner (Fritz) of Berlin, MD; his nieces, Danielle Lauer and Meghan Woods (Raymond); and his grandchildren, Lauren Warner (Ryan), Gabrielle King (Trey), Annah Lauer and Dylan Martin (Mary Frances). He is also survived by his five great grandchildren.
He faithfully served multiple positions in the Knights of Columbus Council 893 and was elected Grand Knight where he upheld the four key principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
