He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Herlong Moore and Ruby Boothe Moore. He is survived by: his children, Mary, John, Mendy, Ruth and Dwight; his grandchildren, Brooks, David, Mackenzie, Dani, Colby, Derringer, Amy, Townsend, Kianna, Susan, Sharon and Alexis; and his sister Joyce.
