She was predeceased by: her husband Allen M. McIver; her son Dee Mathis; her parents, George L. Dean and Ruth Brantley Dean; and her siblings, Wayne Dean, Mary Guy, Betty Metts and Alma Bayles.
She is survived by: her children, Steven M. McIver (Nancy), Teresa Kim Phillips, Eric Kevin Phillips (Karen) and Lee McIver Jordan (Michael); her grandchildren, Robbie McIver (Stephanie), Amanda Chapman (Schuyler), Lauren McIver, Justin Phillips (Hannah) and Tara McIver McGlamery (Lucas); and her sister Faye D Demarque. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was an avid reader and a regular patron at the Millbrook Public Library, therefore, in lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Millbrook Public Library Children's Program, P.O. Box 525, Millbrook, AL 36054.
