He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lanier (Jeannie); his sister Zem Lowery of Moody, AL; his children, Mark Lanier of Lawley, AL, Katherine Nichols (Mark) of Prattville, AL and Laura Lanier (Viragos) of Birmingham, AL; and his stepsons, Chase Creamer (Nancy) of Pace, FL, Stephen Sanders (Kelly) of Troy, AL and James Sanders of Troy, AL. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM. The military honors was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Leak Memory (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
