He is survived by: his mother Addie Mae Thomas; his children, Gerald Austin, Nedra Thomas and Wallace Groomster; his granddaughter Aneria Rudolph; his sisters, Felicia Thomas Hardman Vinson (John) and Brenda Diane Thomas; his niece Jewell Hardman; and his extended family, Alice Webster and Felicia Moncrief.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home (10505 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Alabama Heritage Cemetery (10505 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117).
