She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorene Sawyer and Sam Sawyer; her husband Marlin "Scooter" Dyess; and her great grandchild William Bennett Shamblin. She is survived by: her daughter Lori Ann Shamblin (Keith); her grandchildren, Dorsey Ann Shamblin and George Keith Shamblin Jr. (Caleigh); and her great grandchildren, Cooper Mac Shamblin of Birmingham and Henry Buck Shamblin of Birmingham.
A committal service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens (909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Respite Ministry at FUMC, 2416 West Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, Alabama 36106.
