She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Douglas Fitton and Gertrude Fitton; and her in-laws, Joseph Franklin Hixon and Mattie Lou Salter Hixon. She is survived by: her husband John Hixon Sr.; her sons, John Hixon Jr. (Leigh Ann), Doug Hixon (Elise) and Edward Hixon (Lauren); her grandchildren, Joseph Hixon, Mark Hixon, Anna Hixon, Josh Hixon, Robert Hixon, David Hixon (Kennedy), John Charles Hixon and Mary Grace Hixon; her sister Ann Reisinger (Carl); and her sister-in-law Anne Huff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
