As Marilyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marilyn leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Murph Beck and Hilbert Norman Beck. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Bright Heitkamp.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Marilyn to the Montgomery John Knox Manor Memory Care unit, Montgomery County Humane Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
