He was predeceased by : his parents, Murray O'Neal Hunter and Fannie Ballantine Hunter Mason. He is survived by : his siblings, Tony Hunter (Brenda) of Valdosta, GA, Micheal Hunter (Shawn) of Pensacola, FL and Phyllis Richardson (Tim) of Mobile, AL; his nieces and nephews, Pat Hunter, Lauren Hunter Kieff, Blake Hunter, Carrie Hunter Linnville (Chris), Emily Richardson Hoggard (Joel), Ashley Richardson Walker (Steven), Jonathan Richardson (Katie) and Sarah Richardson Cottrell (Cody); and his cousins, Lyle Wilder (David), Paul Anthony (Aileen) and Danny Barker (Renee).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
