She was predeceased by: her parents, William Curtis Shelton and Betty Jo Lively Newton; her son Joseph Clinton Watley II; her siblings, Francis F. Craft, Carol Faye Broadway and Daryl Ray Newton; and her granddaughter Cecilia Nicole Harper.
She is survived by: her husband David Michael Watley, Sr.; her children, Kathy Diane Ballard and David Michael Watley Jr. (Sharon Marie); her siblings, Jana M. Wade, James E. Newton and Steven A. Newton; her grandchildren, Nicole Marie Paul, Bridgett Starr McLeister, Nicholas Liam Harper, Courtnie Faith Ballard and Crystal Joy Morgan Ballard; and her great grandchildren, Brodie Wayne Harden and Lielah Marie Harden. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
