He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Wendell and Henry Annie Sanders Holmes; and his siblings, Shelby Holmes, Clinton Holmes, Ruth Duke, Margie Bodiford and Jean Buchanan.
He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Mickey Ann, Bobby Boyd, Jackie and Michael Moseley; his grandchildren, Haley King (Branon), Kirsten Colley (Patrick), Baxter Moseley (Nagam) and Katie Godwin (Sam); his great grandchildren, Hudson King, Joseph King, Brooks King, Shepherd Godwin and Melody Grace Moseley; and his brother Donnie Holmes (Gea). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
