She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl A. Mathers and Bardee Roberts Mathers; her husband Dewey Elkanah Best; and her sisters, Katherine, Yvonne and Lucy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Ward (Steve), Kathy Eckermann (Eddie), Darla Perry (Steve) and Angela Simmons (Robert); and her grandchildren, Jeremy Enfinger, Aaron Eckermann (Ezray), Adam Enfinger (Coryn), Leah Kilzer (Thomas), Cole Pinkston (Emily), Bailee Wilson (Josh), Alex Simmons and Anna Kate Simmons. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
