He was predeceased by: his parents, P. V. Furr and Lula Mae Furr; and his sisters, Helen McLean, Lila Mae Kelley and Imogene Darden.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Carpenter Furr; his children, Charlotte Taylor (Ray), Russell Furr and Carole Lynn Whitaker; and his sisters, Mary Alice Main (Paul) of Rockledge and Carrie Frye of Miramar Beach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery (909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
