He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Thrash; his son Randall Dana Thrash; his brother Ray Thrash; his brother-in-law Jimmy Barber; his brother Charles; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Thrash and Linda Thrash.

He is survived by: his children, Jason "Bubba" Thrash (Candice), Deena Thrash Wilson, Kayla Thrash and Casey Thrash; his siblings, Martha Barber, Cindy Flournoy (Randall), Eldridge Thrash (Charlotte), Lee Thrash (Kay) and Jerry Thrash; his sister-in-law Earline Thrash; and his grandchildren, Bella Thrash, Georgia Thrash, Tate Thrash, Dustin Wilson, Nathan Wilson and Lily Grace Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
