He was predeceased by: his parents, B. A. Kitchens and Mary Kitchens; and his sister Thelma Dellinger. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kitchens; his children, David Kitchens (Jackie), Steve Kitchens (Teresa), Scott Kitchens, Shawn Kitchens (Brandy) and Amy Kyzar (Johannes Markus); and his sister Elwanda Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, with one great granddaughter.
