With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Shope (Montgomery, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 19, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ruth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ruth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her children, April Bacon (Ben) and Ryan Shope (Deidre); her grandchildren, Amirah, Hudson, Abby Bacon, Pierce, Sylvia and Brenda Shope; her sister Christy Shope; her pet Khloee; and her close friend Rocky.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any of the below charities in honor of Ruth's lifelong dedication to protecting and helping all living things.
