She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuel Royal and Willowdean Royal; her brother Reuel "Sonny" Royal Jr.; and her nephew Charles "Chip" Royal. She is survived by: her daughter Jamie McCandless; her grandson Caleb McCandless; and her siblings, Carolyn Royal and David Royal (Karen). She is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
