Thelma L. Chapman Obituary
Thelma Lorene Chapman of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away March 22, 2021, at the age of 100 years. She was born January 11, 1921, in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was employed as a beautician for many years in Montgomery.
She was a well-loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her presence will be greatly missed, but the memories of her will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ruben Pierce Carter, Sr., and Vonna King Carter; husband, Russell Ernest Chapman, Sr.; son, Douglas Glenn Chapman; sister, Mary Alice Ashurst; and brother, Ruben Pierce Carter, Jr. Her Survivors include, son, Russell Ernest Chapman, Jr., (Myrtle); daughter-in-law, Maxine Chapman; granddaughter, Leah Norman-Johnson (Craig); and grandsons, Dr. Ryan Chapman (Lena), and Chase Chapman (Sara); and great-granddaughter, Erin Norman.
