He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jones Thompson and Albie Madelyn Bullington Thompson of Clayhatchee; and his sister Ora Thompson Nichols Casey of Enterprise, Alabama.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Messick Thompson of Montgomery; his sons, Adam Thompson of Pike Road and Brandon Thompson of Montgomery; his sister Judy Howell (Kenneth) of Birmingham; his sister-in-law Rhonda Messick Lonza (John) of Opelika; and his grandchildren, Avery Thompson and Everett Thompson of Pike Road. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
