He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Preston Mitchell and Mary Gertrude Artigue Mitchell; and his brother Rev. Thomas Kevin Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Herrington Mitchell; his children, Rev. Joel Mitchell (Lydia) of Montgomery, Marchele Price (Jeremy) of Polkville and Sharla Bender (Steven) of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Alena Mitchell, Loryn Wade (Ethan), Rev. Claire Penton (Cam), Layna Price, Lindsey Harrell (Ryan), Preston Mitchell, Jocelyn Mitchell and Shelby Bender; and his sisters, Jane Buford (Daniel) and Sue Woolley (late Stan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
