He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper A. Gainey and Athie E. Luedtke; and his sisters, Aline Ryder and Ethel Neese. He is survived by: his wife Alma Baker Gainey; his son Wes Gainey (Sharon); his grandchildren, Cary Gainey, Justin Gainey (Amy), Meagan Blackwood (Justin) and Jared Osbourn (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Matthew Gainey, Beau Gainey, Wyatt Blackwood and Lennix Osbourn.
