He was predeceased by: his parents, J. N. Burkhalter and Lorene Burkhalter; his sister Jeanette; and his brother-in-law Fred Gulledge. He is survived by: his wife Angelyn Burkhalter; and his daughter Paige Burkhalter Siker. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, one niece and many friends.
