It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winnie Faye Thompson Hamilton of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Sweet Water, Alabama, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lee and Susan Winnie Thompson; her husband A. Ray Hamilton; and her siblings, Leroy of Fred, JC, Robert "Bob", Cecil Thompson and Inez Etheridge.

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Chambliss (Fred); her grandchildren, Mandy Speirs (Verne) and Matt Chambliss (Laura); her great grandchildren, Olivia Ray Lynn, Sara Collins Chambliss and Cole Chambliss; and her brother Dan "Buddy" Thompson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Children's Harbor on Lake Martin.
