It is with sadness that the passing of Butch Finley of Moody, Alabama is shared. Butch, born on July 23, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher C. Finley and Ruth Finley; and his son Christopher D. Finley. He is survived by: his wife Tanna Griggs-Finley; his children, Brent Finley (Kelly), Donovan Finley (Kerryn) and Alison Finley; his grandchildren, Dylan Finley, Raegan Finley, Kailey Gorman, Kaylen Finley and Christopher M. Finley; his stepsons, Brock Griggs (Michelle) and Blake Griggs; his stepgranddaughters, Tavia Griggs, Rachel Amari and Ashlee Foust (Tyler); and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Veronica Amari, Abigail Amari, Madison, Emma Foust and Ellie Foust.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Officiating will be : Dr. Brad Moseley, In lieu of flowers, please donate to either the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org) or the Michael J, Fox Parkinson's Foundation in honor of Butch. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
