We are sad to announce that, on October 14, 2021, at the age of 83, Bertie Hitt (Moulton, Alabama), born in Hillsboro, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bertie Hitt to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fletcher Clark and Icy Venie Clark; her husband Bobby Hitt; her children, Alan and Linda Hitt; and her brothers, Walter and Thomas.

She is survived by: her siblings, Martha Cross, Gertha Turner (Chuck) of Moulton, Maurice Winchester of Hillsboro, John Clark (Maryann) and Mary McLemore of Oxford; and her children, Alania Hardyman (John) of Sylvania and John Hitt (Karen) of Trinity. She is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Bertie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
