He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Evin and Jessie Lee Austin Carroll; his wife Ann Terry Carroll; and his brother Dwight Carroll. He is survived by: his friend Ronald Thrasher (Barry Cater); his children, Traci Carroll (Lyn) and Charles Stacy Carroll (Tammy); his sister Joan Carroll McKay (Wayne); his sister-in-law Dorothy Carroll; his nieces, Scarlotte Carroll Robinson (Patrick) and Amy McKay King (Joe); his great-niece Lucy King; his close friend Rocky (Marti Carroll); his stepchildren, Deloain, Melissa, Lorri, Melyn Burgess and Sonja Bullard (Steve); and his grandchildren, Jewel Lindsey and Charles Blaine Carroll. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Shriners Hospital for Children or Harmony Baptist Church.
