He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hood and Mable Johnson Hood; and his siblings, Robert Hood, Jr., Carlton Hood, Harold Hood, Tommy Hood, Nadine Cameron, Josephine Parker and Baby Clareren Hood.
He is survived by: his wife Daphine Hood; his children, Steve Hood (Tina), Jackie Hood (Twila), Jamie Hood, Tiffany Phillips (Benjamin) and Edwina Ghrigsby (Phillip); his grandchildren, Seth Hood, Micah Hood (Michelle), Daniel Hood (Brittney), Brandon Hood (Heather), Nick Hood (Lakin), Jared Hood (Jodie), Lydia Hood (Nate), Zach Ghrigsby (Jamie), Erin Johnson, Evan Ghrigsby (Lacey), Halle Grace Steadman (Trey) and Noah Phillips; and his brothers, Donald Hood (Brenda) and Curtis Hood (Martha). He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
