He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Heflin and Ida Terry Heflin; and his siblings, Larry Heflin, Johnny Heflin, Sherry Mierdierks, Ozella Oliver and Jenny Stotts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Iola Vanderford (late James), Sheila James (Ernie), Shelby Tidwell (late Hillard), Wendall Heflin (Susan), Kenny Heflin (Theresa), Thomas Heflin (Cheryl) and Jeffrey Heflin (Jennifer); and his sister-in-law Jeanette Heflin. He is also survived by twenty-four nieces and nephews, forty-one great nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.
