James Alton Murphree Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alton Murphree of Moulton, Alabama, who passed away on April 20, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Murphree and Pauline Montgomery Murphree; and his siblings, Dorothy Marie Potter and Jerry Royce Murphree. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Donna Mansel; his granddaughter Maddie Trapp; his siblings, Charles E. Murphree, Dwight Murphree and Sue M. Nelson; his close friend Patsy Ayers; his pet Cocoa; and his caregivers, Chris Murpy, Karen Blagburn, Tabatha, Tiffany Steeples, Amy Adams and Tricia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
