He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Allison Kidd and Jesse Henry Kidd; his wife Gwendolyn Jackson Peters; his children, Sonja Kidd Jackson and Ronald Kidd; his siblings, Bonnie Atkins, Maxine Post, Learline Townsend, Juanita Smith and Frank Kidd; his half-siblings, James Kidd, Dan Kidd, Jerry Kidd, Charlotte Chaffin, Ruby Bradley, Rosie Hancock and Dreama Holley; and his great grandchild Haley Cleghorn.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Melinda Cleghorn (David), Melanie Wilhelm (Ron), Marlena Gail Tucker (Steve), Jeff Kidd and Kim Roughton (Keith); his great grandchildren, Amanda Black (William), Andrew Cleghorn (Wendy), Nicholas Cleghorn (Tiffany), Hollie Waid (Patrick), Megan Whitfield (Jake), Steven Tucker, Nella Martin (Josh), Sunni Johnson (Jake), Libby Williams and George Roughton; and his half-brother Jack Kidd.
A procession will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Friendship Cemetery (2559 Co Rd 84, Danville, AL 35619).
