She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Grady White and Nancy Etta Black White; her husband Darby Emmerson Smith; and her siblings, Calvin White, Billy White, Jack White and Catherine Miller (Charlie).
She is survived by: her daughter Donna McLaughlin; her son-in-law Jeff McLaughlin; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Smith, Shirley Jenkins and Willie May Shelton. She is also survived by eleven nieces; and fourteen nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel (2105 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
