He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Waldrop and Irene Hood Waldrop; and his siblings, John Waldrop, Floyd Waldrop, Gene Waldrop, Bobby Waldrop, Lorene Waldrop and Ruth King.
He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Cook; his stepdaughter Angie Johnson (John); his stepgrandchildren, Gabi Johnson and Bowdie Johnson; and his siblings, Dorothy Harris (Golan), Marie Jones (Ronnie), Tommy Waldrop, Charlie Waldrop (Kim) and Billy Waldrop (Connie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
