She was predeceased by: her mother Ruby Butler McWhorter; and her niece Suzanne Blevins. She is survived by: her father Ray McWhorter; her husband Boyd; her children, Haley James (Dan) and Sam Compton (Heather); her grandchildren, Daniel James, Laura Ann James and Katherine Compton; her siblings, Tim McWhorter (Melba), Reta Blevins (Buster) and Ricky McWhorter (Sherry); and her nieces and nephews, Misty Phillips, Kelly Shelton, Sally Rae Darnell, Sara McWhorter, Les Blevins, Joe Paul Blevins and William McWhorter. She is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moulton Church of Christ.
