Though Vernon may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vernon leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Owens and Effie Johnson Owens; and his wife Shirley Owens. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Owens, Anthony Owens (Judy), Charles Owens and Cindy Hollis (Danny); and his siblings, Era Spencer, Marie Foster and David Owens. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seven-teen great-grandchildren.
