He was predeceased by: his parents, David B. Chavis and Junie Chavis; and his children, Rhonda Richardson and Rusty Chavis. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Chavis of Moundville, Alabama; his son Ron Dockery (Tammy Dockery) of Prattville, Alabama; and his sister June Evans of Adamsville, Alabama. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
