With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Leon Ponder of Moundville, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on August 21, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Ponder and Beth Ponder; and his brother Tommy Ponder. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Ponder; his children, Ann Deerman (Donnie), Kellie Burch (Keith) of Moundville and Randy Yeager (Liz) of Moundville; his sisters, Pam Young (Ronald), Debbie Ingram (Dale) and Janie Kinard (Del); his grandchildren, Destin Deerman (Melanie), Desiree Deerman, Donavann Deerman, Presley Miller-Burch, Kodie Burch, Christian Burch, Levi Yeager and Jamieson Yeager; and his great grandchildren, Ledger Deerman, Everleigh Deerman and KJ Burch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Church of the Vine, Moundville, AL., or the DCH Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
