He was predeceased by: his wife Myra Shipley Seale; his parents, Leon Clinton Seale Sr. and Louise Callahan Seale; and his siblings, Leon Clinton Seale Jr., Patty Seale Elliott and Mary Frances Seale.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy "Dot" Seale Ellis; his daughters, Jane Ellen Seale Tidmore (Dixon) and Emily Kay Seale Freeland (Andrew); and his grandchildren, Joseph Dixon Tidmore and Meredith Tidmore Guglielmi (Nick).
