It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Richardson Ellis in Moundville, Alabama, who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dewey Richardson Sr. and Janie Montgomery Richardson; her husband George "Sonny" Ellis; and her brothers, John Dewey Jr., Calvin Wayne, Tom "Tommy" Belton and Dewey Hershel.

She is survived by: her daughters, Daphne Ellis, Jill Ellis, Susie Mullenix (Joey) and Angie Kuykendall (Calvin); her grandchildren, Anna, Abbie (Dustin), Gracie, John Ellis and Matt; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Thomas, James, Harlie, Alyssa and Grace. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery fund or Moundville Health and Rehabilitation Activities fund.
