He was predeceased by: his father Jessie Wayne Smith; his uncle Jack Graham; and his grandparents, Madge Hester, Zollie Graham, Clarence and Louise Smith.

He is survived by: his mother Patsy Graham Smith; his sisters, Patti Smith and Joan Smith Bolton (Eddie); his nieces and nephews, Lyndi Little (Chris), Corey Bolton (Amanda), Sydney Green (Jessie) and Evan Bolton (Amanda); his aunt Sarah Herring; and his friend Ronnie.
