He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gayle Shields; his children, Wendell Shields, Jr., Raymond Shields (Tara), Wendy Terry (Scotty G.) and Jason Shields (Robin Jones); his grandchildren, Courtney, Samantha, Chealsee, Kayla, Chris, Crystal, Anthony, Rachel, Audrey, Spencer, Michael, Jason and Destiney; and his sister Irene Farrar (Harlon). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
