We announce the death of Bettie Faye Thomas of Mount Olive, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 94. Bettie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Bettie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Thomas; her parents, Maude Belcher and Harrison Belcher; her son Robert Thomas; her son-in-law Jeff Harmon; and her grandsons, Brad Wright and Ethan Quick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki McAlpine (Sherman), Debbie Harmon and Donna Thomas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
