She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Lee Vance and Leona May Fason Vance; and her siblings, Dr. Ray Vance (Evie) and Jo Vance Cox (Clyde). She is survived by: her husband Clarence L. Abney; her children, Steven Lee Abney (Debby), Donna Abney and Suzanne Abney Fields (Mark); her grandchildren, Candice Michelle Lippeatt, Joshua Steven Abney (Leah), Jonah Thomas Abney (Denise), Sarah Lippeatt Watson (Tyler) and Rachel Fields Wainman (Logan); her great grandchildren, Addison, Lowen, Olivia, Cayson, Hudson and Haven; and her nieces, Cynthia Cox Salters (Danny) and Karen Cox Salters (Ron). She is also survived by many family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Walker Chapel Funeral Home (1200 Ellard Rd, Fultondale, AL 35068). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Walker Chapel Cemetery (1200 Ellard Rd, Fultondale, AL 35068).
