It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Genell Byrd (Mount Vernon, Alabama), who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Byrd and Evie Byrd; her siblings, Isabell Nelson, Murray Byrd, Harold Byrd, Betty Rivers, Margie Sullivan, Mason Byrd, Nettie Byrd and Leroy Byrd; and her cousin Clarice Lott.
She is survived by: her daughter Roni Lucas; her grandsons, Preston Lewis, Phillip Lewis and Paul Lewis; and her siblings, Winfred Byrd and Mary. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church (20145 Richard Weaver Rd, Mt Vernon, AL 36560). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
