She was predeceased by : her parents, Clifford Morris and Velma McNutt Spencer; her husband Dr. Charles L. Hicks, Jr.; and her brother Clifford M. Spencer, Jr. (Burr). She is survived by : her sons, John Morris Hicks (Lisa) of Birmingham, Stephen Lee Hicks (Susan) of Charlotte and Andrew Spencer Hicks of Birmingham; and her grandchildren, Destin Hicks, Emily Chapdelaine (Andrew), Thiery Hicks and William Hicks.
