Sandy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sandy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Sandy will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sisco Knox Phyfer and Rachel Sandlin Phyfer; and her brother Robert Phyfer. She is survived by: her sons, Benjamin Knox Gillis and Daniel Paul Gillis; her grandchildren, Amy Kathryn Gillis, Benjamin Knox Gillis, Jr., Katherine Claye Ahmed, Daniel Luke Gillis and George Peyton Gillis; her sisters, Leah Sloshberg and Anita Franklin; and her great grandchild Easton Knox Gillis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
